La très française et très bourgeoise Astrid et son futur époux écossais Patrick fêtent leurs fiançailles dans un restaurant chic du 7e arrondissement de Paris. Mais la fête vire à l’aigre : Dan arrive en retard de Londres, Bérénice est vexée par les piques d’Astrid et le futur marié a la tête ailleurs. Quant à Dorothy, elle cache un secret explosif. Le premier chapitre en français, le deuxième en anglais, etc. De sorte que pour connaître la suite de l’histoire, il faut passer... de l’une à l’autre langue.
